Researching Some OTHER Court Records
Just in case you’ve overlooked tax records, powers of attorney, jury lists, dower releases, deeds, bastardy bonds, guardianships--our program will include them, and wills, and a short discussion about where to find these sometimes-forgotten records.
An active genealogist for 37 years and professional researcher for 15 years, Norma Storrs Keating, RN, BSN, is the owner of Your Family Connection, specializing in Danish genealogy and DAR applications. She holds a Certificate in North American Research from Brigham Young University, is the co-author of Beginning Danish Research, and has written numerous articles for genealogy magazines, including the Utah Genealogical Association’s Crossroads and www.NewEnglandAncestors.org. She is immediate past president and current Education Chairman of GSNOCC. Norma regularly attends the UGA Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and is a member of several genealogical groups, including the National Genealogical Society, Federation of Genealogical Societies, Association of Professional Genealogists, Utah Genealogical Association, New England Historic Genealogical Society, and North Carolina Genealogical Society.
