Teacher, genealogist, and long-time friend of GSNOCC, she is co-author (with spouse Morris Thurston) of Breathe Life Into Your Life Story. Dawn earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a masters in communications from UCLA. In addition to conducting many local classes, she has lectured on university campuses and at national conferences throughout the U. S. Hundreds of family historians in Southern California—including many writing prize winners--have benefitted from her knowledge and enthusiasm as they crafted memoirs and family histories.
